1. Who we are
Kardo is an app and website, at kardoapp.in, that turns what you share into cards. It is run from India by its founder, Mohit Kumar. "Kardo", "we" and "us" in this policy mean Kardo and the people who run it.
2. What Kardo keeps
- Your account: your email and name, or your Telegram id if you use the bot, and a hashed password - never the password itself.
- What you share, and the cards made from it: the link, note or file, the words said and shown in it, and the summary, facts, sections and guides made from it.
- How you use Kardo: events such as "saved a link" or "made a trip plan", with no titles, links or text; your plan and monthly usage; the devices you are signed in on.
- If you join the waitlist: your email, and the page that brought you.
- If you use an invite: who invited whom, to give you both the bonus saves.
- Technical records: your IP address, briefly, to stop abuse such as repeated sign-in attempts, and error logs about what went wrong, kept on Kardo's own machines and not used to look at what you saved.
3. How it is used
To make your cards and guides, to run your account and its limits, to keep Kardo working and secure, and to understand - in counts, never content - which features help. We do not sell your data, and we do not use what you save for advertising.
4. Who else sees it
- The Kardo team sees how the app is used - counts and events - and never what you saved.
- AI services read what you share, only to make your card: Groq and Google Gemini by default, and OpenAI for accounts the Kardo team has given full-quality cards. They do not get your email or name.
- Services that run Kardo: Supabase stores the database (in Mumbai), Cloudflare carries the traffic to kardoapp.in, and Telegram delivers the bot's messages if you use it.
- People you share with: only a card you choose to share, as a link - its summary, facts and the guides you pick, never the script. Stop sharing it at any time.
- Anyone the law requires: if a lawful order makes us, and only what it covers.
- Advertisers: nobody.
5. Videos and files
A video Kardo downloads or a file you upload is used only to make your card, and is deleted within 24 hours. The card keeps the text - what was said and shown - and a link to the original. Content Kardo's safety check refuses is not saved: its video is deleted at once, and only the link stays on your account.
6. Where it is kept, and for how long
Your account and cards are stored in a database in Mumbai, India, until you delete them. A deleted card or account is gone at once from Kardo, and from its nightly backups within 14 days, as they are replaced. Usage events are kept while your account exists.
7. Your rights
- See and correct: everything you saved is in the app; ask us for a summary of what Kardo holds about you, or to correct it.
- Delete: delete any card in the app, or your whole account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or on this website. Everything in it is deleted with it.
- Withdraw consent: stop using Kardo and delete your account at any time.
- Complain: write to the grievance contact below; we answer within 30 days. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may also take a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Keeping it safe
Everything travels encrypted. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sign-in sessions as hashes, and Kardo's own keys sealed. The connection to the database checks the database's certificate. No system is perfect: if something goes wrong that affects your data, we will tell you.
9. Children
Kardo is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly keep data about children; if you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will delete it.
10. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and has no ads or trackers. Its fonts come from Kardo itself. The app keeps your sign-in on your phone, and nothing else about you.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with its date, and the app tells you about anything important before it applies.
12. Contact and grievances
Grievance officer: Mohit Kumar, Founder. Message Kardo on Instagram with any question or complaint about your data.
